With just a little over ten days to go until the release of the highly anticipated Borderlands 3, we’ve gotten our very first piece of information about the post-launch content that will be coming to the game in 2019.
This information was revealed at PAX West 2019, alongside the image seen above, and it details the 3 major content updates, 2 of which are free, that will be coming to the game by December 2019.
The first free piece of content is the Bloody Harvest Event, which we can assume will arrive by Halloween, and it will feature unique event rewards and ‘Spooky Activities’.
The second free content update is the ‘Maliwan Takedown’ raid. This will include a brand new map, new enemies, powerful loot and a brand new boss.
The third update will then be paid DLC content, and will add onto the campaign of the game. If previous paid DLCs in the series are anything to go by, we can guess that this will include new weapons, new locations, new bosses and perhaps even a new Vault Hunter.
The exact details and release dates for each of these content packs are still not confirmed, but we can expect to learn more in the weeks after the launch of the base game.
Borderlands 3 is set for release on September 13, 2019 for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and the PC. The PC release will be exclusive to the Epic Games Store at launch, but the game will come to Steam in 2020.
