UPDATE: The release date has now been announced for June 4. You can read more about the announcement here.
Episode 1 of the Fate of Atlantis DLC for Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey, named Fields of Elysium, has been out now for a while, and fans who have beaten it are probably wondering when they’ll get their hands on the next episode.
No exact date has been announced by Ubisoft as of yet, but Episode 2, Titled Torment of Hades, is set to arrive around six weeks after the release of Episode 1.
So since Episode 1 was released on 23rd April, 2019, players can expect Episode 2 to drop around the first week of June.
I’m personally very excited for Torment of Hades since it could potentially allow players to explore a brand new map just like in Fields of Elysium. It was strongly hinted that this might be another region like Tartarus, or perhaps another part of the Greek Underworld.
This notion was further reinforced by the fact that we explored every single nook and cranny of the map of Elysium is Episode 1 as part of the main questline, and there really isn’t anything left in it to explore for Episode 2.
This 2nd DLC also isn’t like the Legacy of the First Blade Expansion which took place in the massive Greek map of the base game. That DLC took advantage of the fact that there were large landmasses that were not explored all that much in the base story, and so they were perfect locations for new content.
That isn’t the case here, and so a new map seems very likely.
Again, no official date has been confirmed as of yet apart from the 6 week gap, but we can expect more news around the end of May.
