As we move closer and closer to E3 2018, one particular exhibitor has been tweeting up a storm. Over the past two days Bethesda has released a bunch of random edited images, some of which feature distinctly ‘Wastelandish’ characters. This has led most people to assume that a sequel to their 2010 game Rage is in the works.
And now, the company has released the most recent of these images, and it seems to hint at a date for the announcement. The image, seen below, shows the numbers 5/14, which we can presume means 14th May.
Incidentally, these were also the numbers that were displayed on Big Ben in an earlier image, which can be seen below with the rest of the images.
All of this originally started when Walmart Canada accidentally leaked a bunch of retail listings of games that could have potentially been announced at E3 2018. The games in the listings have not been confirmed for the event, and we do not know if they are even completely accurate, but it did prompt Bethesda to respond.
Other games included in the leak were Borderlands 3, Just Cause 4, Gears of War 5, Destiny Comet and a new Assassins Creed. Also listed was ‘Forza Horizons 5’, which by itself brings the entire credibility of the leak into question as the last game to come out in the Horizon franchise was Forza Horizon 3 back in 2016.
Bethesda’s E3 2018 press conference will be held on Sunday, 10th June at 6:30 p.m. Pacific Time. Highly Pixelated will continue to update the story as new information becomes available
