The 2018 Tokyo Game Show is currently underway, and Capcom has just released a brand new trailer for their upcoming game Devil May Cry 5 at the event.
Not only do we get to see some more Nero gameplay in the trailer, with a look at the game’s Exceed system with Red Queen, we also get our very first look at Dante in combat, along with a few of the weapons he will be able to use in the game.
First up is Dante’s trademark combo, comprised of the sword Rebellion, and his twin pistols Ebony and Ivory. Then we have the Shotgun, which is another returning weapon from previous entries in the franchise.
There are also two new weapons that are new to this entry. The first is the motorcycle that we saw Dante riding in the announcement trailer for the game, which actually splits into a melee weapon in the form of two different chainsaws.
Then comes a weapon comprised of a pair of gauntlets and greaves that look really similar to the Beowulf Devil Arm that we saw in both Devil May Cry 3 and Devil May Cry 4, except this one seems to have a matching set of Pauldrons and is more fire oriented.
We also saw the return of two supporting characters, namely Trish and Lady, as well as our first look at the game’s third playable character, V.
No information about either of these weapons or the new playable character have been announced as of yet, but hopefully we’ll learn more soon in the coming weeks.
Devil May Cry 5 is set for release on 8th March 2019, for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and the PC.
