Your Energy in Graveyard Keeper runs out fairly quickly and the best way to replenish it, apart from sleeping, is to keep a steady supply of food in your inventory. And Bread is the most convenient food to make during the first few hours of the game.
Once you unlock the Kitchen Garden for farming, go and buy a bunch of Wheat Seeds from the Farmer, one of the three Seed Vendors in the game. Plant these in the garden, and wait a few days for them to grow.
Once fully grown, harvest the Wheat and turn it into Flour at the Cooking Table found inside your home. Also get a Bucket of clear water from the well in your workyard and use it in your inventory to get 10 units of water. Now you can turn the Flour and Water into Dough at the same Cooking Table
There’s also an Oven inside of you home. Provide it with fuel, I suggest Coal, and then use the Dough at it.
You don’t need to use any any energy at the Oven, it will automatically pop out Bread loaves as soon as they are done baking, alongside some very useful Green Technology Points.
