Cyberpunk 2077 is perhaps one of the most anticipated games of the past few years, and it’s set to launch at the end of this year on current gen consoles and PC.
And although the information never actually came from official channels, there were murmurings on the internet that Microsoft was in talks with developer CD Projekt Red to bring the game to their Xbox Game Pass subscription service at launch.
Well now we have official confirmation from Radek Grabowski, Lead PR Manager at CD Projekt Red, who has said that the studio has no current plans to bring the game to the service.
This information came to light when Jeff Grubb of VentureBeat was talking about potential games that Microsoft might try and bring to Xbox Game Pass at launch, and he bought up Cyberpunk 2077 as an example.
This prompted Radek Grabowski to jump into the conversation and address the situation by saying:
You have to pick another example, Jeff. No Game Pass plans for Cyberpunk 2077.— Radek ♠︎ (@gamebowski) July 10, 2020
Cyberpunk 2077 is set for release on 19th November, 2020 for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and the PC. It will also be coming to Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5.
