After the announcement yesterday about the brand new Gore System that will be implemented into Quake Champions, developer Bethesda Softworks has now also announced that they will be adding bots to the game.
These bots can be used both to fill up slots in online matches in situations where players cannot be found to fill up the roster, or if players just want a casual stress-free match to better hone their skills for multiplayer. This will also be very helpful in accustoming brand new players to the game, as Quake matches can often tend to be a bit hectic, to say the least.
The bots will be rolled out in two phases. In the first phase, which is coming soon, the bots will be able to use all Champions and have access to all the weapons, but they cannot make use of the Champion abilities. They will also only be available in a very limited number of modes, including Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch
In the second phase the bots will be able to use Champion abilities and will be made available to use in more game modes.
Quake Champions was released on Steam Early Access in August of 2017 and the final version of the game is expected to arrive sometime later this year. It is available exclusively on the PC.
