As the release date for Red Dead Redemption 2 draws nearer and nearer, Rockstar Games keeps dropping new information about the game and its incredibly detailed world.
This time around they let us know that the game’s open world will feature around 200 different species of animals, fish and birds, each of whom will have their own distinct animations and will respond to the environment in their own unique way.
Now we already know from previous gameplay trailers that hunting and fishing will play a very large part in the game, but this new piece of information just drives home the diversity of the wildlife that we will see in the world.
It also stands to reason that since there are such a large number of different species in the game, a lot of them will be marks for players to hunt and skin in side-activities like the Master Hunter Challenges in the original Red Dead Redemption.
Rockstar Games also shared art for 4 of these different species in the official Tweet that announced this information.
