A Bug in Red Dead Redemption 2 Is Causing Weapons To Disappear

While Red Dead Redemption 2 as a whole is a mostly bug-free game, it does suffer from some occasional hiccups that one would rightly expect to see in such a massive open world.

And one of the most prominent of these appears to be bug that is causing weapons to disappear from player’s inventories.

No official cause has been discovered as of yet, but it appears that this glitch seems to occur after players jump back into the game after turning it off, reload a save or even die during a mission. Players over on Reddit have been posting about the bug for the past few days. You can check out some of these threads here, here and here.

One of the more prominent weapons that seems to be going missing is the Schofield revolver, which can be obtained either by robbing the doctor in the town of Valentine, or by purchasing it through any gunsmith after completing the mission “Blessed are the Meek?”. It also appears that players who rob the weapon are more likely to lose it than those who purchase it.

Players can report the bug regarding any specific weapon that they lose, or just any bug in the game in general, by heading over to the Rockstar Games Support Website.
