Launch Trailer Released For Assassin’s Creed Odyssey

The release date for the highly anticipated Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is just a little over 10 days away, and Ubisoft has now released the Launch Trailer for the game.

The trailer, seen below, gives us a glimpse at the various different settings that we will see in the game, as well as some minor plot details. There’s also quite a bit of combat in the video.

Set in 431 BCE, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is a fictional retelling of the Peloponnesian War that was fought between the states of ancient Greece.

Players will take on the role of the newest assassin, a Spartan mercenary, who can be either a man or a woman named Alexios or Alexios respectively. Your character is also a descendant of King Leonidas I, and has to choose sides between either Athens or Sparta over the course of the game.

An excerpt form the game’s official website reads:

Leonidas, the King of Sparta, defied an oracle to lead a small group of soldiers against the Persian army in the battle of Thermopylae. Although this battle ended in defeat, his bravery paved the way for many victories to come. His personal sacrifice and dedication gave birth to a legend.

In Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, you will not only wield your ancestor’s blade, but also honor his heroic values.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is set for release on 5th October, 2018 for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and the PC.
